I am currently starting up the Center for the Physics of Living Organisms, an Ann Arbor operation affiliated with the Physics Department of Michigan Technological University. See http://www.mtu.edu/research/about/centers-institutes/cplo/
In October 2016 I retired from SRI International, a California-based non-profit research institute. This office, which I founded in 2008, does work in sensor and signal processing applications for various U.S. government agencies. SRI also has a Clinical Trials operation for testing new drugs in Plymouth, MI.
After Mackenzie I went to Wayne State for degrees in mathematics, worked at Ford in engineering and went back to Wayne for a degree in neurophysiology, worked as an independent consultant for a few years, then joined ERIM in 1980. ERIM was a non-profit R&D institute that eventually was acquired by General Dynamics. I left GD in January 2008 to start up SRI Ann Arbor.
